Maison Auréole Haute horlogerie & haute joaillerie, one atelier

Manufacture Auréole · Le Brassus & Place Vendôme

Time and stone, drawn from the same bench.

Maison Auréole is a single Place Vendôme atelier practising haute horlogerie and haute joaillerie side by side — grandes complications built next to high jewelry parures, by artisans who move between both benches.

The halo field

Light, refracted honestly

The field behind this page is not a gradient. Every facet reflects light using Schlick's approximation of the Fresnel equations, with the base reflectance drawn from diamond's actual refractive index (n ≈ 2.417) — that works out to roughly 17.2% reflectance at normal incidence, the same figure a gemologist would compute for a real stone.

Each facet also bends red, green and blue light through three slightly different indices sampled from diamond's real dispersion curve — separate refraction per wavelength is what produces "fire" in a cut stone, not a single tinted blur.
